Videos fly to Sardinia

Grazie all'ininziativa di Tore Langella, animatore dell'associazione sarda Kayak Avventura, i nostri video "Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia" e "Minorca kayak tour 2009" sono volati in Sardegna per animare la prima serata della manifestazione dei fuochi di San Giovanni dello scorso giovedì 23 giugno 2011. A conferma che il kayak unisce anche chi è lontano!

Thanks to Tore Langella and Kayak Avventura association, our trailer "Discovering the Ionic Islands of Greece" and "Menorca kayak tour 2009" have flown to Sardinia to be shown in the first evening of the Sant Joan meeting last thursday 23th of June 2011. To cofirm one more time that the kayak is a good relation between people all over the world!

A special night...

Come era già successo ad Anglesey e a Bibione, la presentazione del viaggio estivo alle Isole Ioniche della Grecia sortisce un effetto tra il divertito ed il seducente, con grande attrazione per i luoghi fotografati e per quel mare dai colori tanto intensi e limpidi!
La serata organizzata dal CKF al Villaggio del Pescatore presso la belle sede della Polisportiva San Marco è stata un pò speciale: un gran numero di persone che ci hanno colpito non solo per l'interesse dimostrato ma soprattutto per le tante domande che ci hanno rivolto al termine della proiezione dei filmati.
La curiosità tipica di chi ha affrontato avventure simili in kayak da mare e che conosce i piacere di un modo di viaggiare a diretto contatto con la natura... quando il vero proposito è quello di scoprire il proprio ritmo interiore e pagaiare diventa uno strumento di conoscenza di sè, degli altri e del mondo...
Le domande sulla programmazione del viaggio, sul peso dell'attrezzatura stivata, sulla necessità di rifornirsi d'acqua svelavano non tanto la curiosità dei neofiti quanto l'esperienza dei naviganti: anch'io metto il carrello oltre il punta piedi, anche noi montiamo la tenda vicino ai kayak, anche la mia amica tiene un diario di viaggio...
Una serata davvero speciale tra tanti amici di kayak, finita in bellezza nell'osmizza locale!

As it had already happened in Anglesey and in Bibione, the presentation of our sea kayak expedition to the Ionic Islands of Greece gets a seductive effect, with a great attraction for the places photographed and for the sea, characterized by so intense and clear colors!
The night organized by the CKF to the Village of the Fisherman in the beautiful center of the Polisportiva San Marco, has been a special evening: a big number of people that have not only struck us for the their pure interest but also for the many questions they have turned us at the end of the projection of the tapes.
The curiosity of who has realized similar adventures in sea kayak and that know the way to travel in a direct contact with the nature... when the main purpose is to discover our own natural rhythm and paddle becomes a tool of knowledge of itself, of the others and of the world...
The questions on the planning of the trip, on the weight of the stowed equipment, on the necessity to supply us of water, show us not the curiosity of the neophytes but the experience of the sea kayakers: I put the water in the cockpit as well, we prefer remain with the tents next to the kayaks, my friend holds a diary of the trip...
A special evening indeed, with so many sea kayak friends, ended in a wonderful local "osmizza"!

A new presentation in Trieste

In occasione del corso di kayak organizzato dal CKF nella bella cornice di Sistiana a Trieste il fine settimana del 19 e 20 giugno 2010, siamo stati invitati anche a presentare i nostri ultimi viaggi:

Nel corso di una serata che si preannuncia piacevole e partecipata presso la sede della Polisportiva San Marco nel bel Villaggio del Pescatore, gli amici del CKF hanno voluto riservare uno spazio ed un momento adeguato alla presentazione del kayak e delle sue potenzialità.
Nel volantino della serata si legge che "sarà possibile poi interagire direttamente con i relatori per ogni curiosità e riflessione sulla loro lunga esperienza didattica, sulla loro esperienza di viaggio e sulle peculiarità che fanno del kayak da mare un mezzo insostituibile per un turismo a diretto contatto con il lato più intimo, affascinante ed a volte ancora selvaggio della natura"...

So they also read that "it will be possible to directly interact with the chairmen for every curiosity and reflection on their long didactic experience, on their experience of sea kayak expeditions and on the peculiarities that make the sea kayak an irreplaceable instrument for a tourism in a direct contact with the most intimate, fascinating and still wild side of the nature"...

Bibione presentation

Siamo stati invitati a presentare il nostro viaggio estivo in Grecie al Raduno Internazionale di kayak da mare che si terrà a Bibione dal 22 al 30 maggio 2010.
La serata di mercoledì 26 maggio sarà infatti dedicata alla presentazione del filmato realizzato con le migliori immagini raccolte durante il periplo dell'arcipelago delle Ioniche della Grecia.
La presentazione a Bibione ci rende particolarmente felici perchè, avendo a disposizione l'intera serata, avremo la possibilità di raccontare le nostre avventure in kayak nel Mar Mediterraneo sia in inverno che in estate: ci sarà infatti tempo sufficiente per presentare anche il filmato di 40' su "Minorca kayak tour 2009", realizzato da Mauro dopo la nostra ultima spedizione invernale alla Isole Baleari:

Certo le condizioni mutano, le lunghe giornate estive vengono sostituite dalle corte giornate invernali, i colori cambiano, le temperature si abbassano e la scenografia si altera completamente... ma il piacere di navigare in mare rimane sempre inalterato!

We were invited to introduce our summer sea kayak expedition to Grrece to the Bibione International Symposium.
On Wednesday evening 26th of May we will present the tape realized with the best images harvests during the periplus of the Ionic Islands of Greece.
The presentation in Bibione makes us particularly happy because during the evening we will have the possibility to tell our adventures in kayak in the Mediterranean Sea both in winter that in the summer time: there will be enough time to introduce also the tape "Minorca kayak tour 2009", realized after having spent two weeks in the Island of Wind, the more Oriental and perhaps the most beautiful of the Balearic Islands: http://www.tatianacappucci.it/Tatiyak/Filmati/Minorca2009/Minorca2009.asp.Conditions certainly change, the long summer days are replaced by the court winter days, the colors they change, the temperatures lower and the scenography changes completely... but the pleasure to paddle is always unchanged!

Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium

Il Simposio di Anglesey quest'anno è stato particolarmente ricco di eventi serali, con tante presentazioni di viaggi, spedizioni ed imprese dei più noti ed apprezzati kayakers del mondo.
Sul palco del bel teatro di Holyhead Freya Hoffmeister ha raccontato il suo giro dell'Australia 2009 e la sera successiva Alain e Natalie Antognelli hanno presentato la prima tappa del loro spettacolare viaggio di scoperta fotografica lungo le coste della Groenlandia: http://www.phototeam-nature.com/
Le successive serate presso l'accogliente Outdoor Center sono state animate dai filmati di Roland Woollven sul giro della Gran Bretagna nel 2008, di Phil Hadley&Jenn Kleck sulla Baja California ed il Golden Gate Simposyum 2009, Fiona Whitehead sul giro di Gran Bretagna ed Irlanda 2004...
Tutte le slides sono state commentate dal vivo dai rispettivi presentatori e hanno alimentato la fantasia dei presenti per intraprendere nuove avventure in kayak da mare!
Il nostro video "Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia" era l'unico con musiche e commento predefinito, con tanto di sottotitoli in inglese che mi hanno risparmiato il confronto con una folta platea di madre lingua inglese che probabilmente avrebbe compreso poco del mio inglese zoppicante!
Gli intermezzi del filmato hanno suscitato sempre molte risate e battute di complicità: un piccolo successo personale per il montaggio animato realizzato da Mauro e che ha raccolto anche ad Anglesey tanti complimenti ed apprezzamenti...
Una copia del nostro dvd è stata ovviamente consegnata al mitico Nigel Dennis che ci ha invitati a presentare il viaggio insieme agli altri illustri ospiti e che ogni anno organizza un Simposio sempre più interessante!

The Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium was particularly rich in evening events, with so many presentations of trips, expeditions and enterprises of the most known kayakers of the world.

The intervals of our video have always aroused a lot of laughters and wisecracks of complicity: a small personal success for the animate assemblage realized by Mauro that has also picked up so many compliments and appreciations...
A copy of our dvd has obviously been delivered to the mythical Nigel Dennis, that has invited us to introduce the trip together with the other illustrious entertainers and that organizes a Symposium every year more and more interesting!

Subtitles for Anglesey!

Abbiamo predisposto i sottotitoli in inglese per il nostro DVD sul viaggio in Grecia non appena abbiamo saputo di poterlo presentare al prestigioso Simposio Internazionali di Anglesey.
Grazie al prezioso aiuto dell'amico maltese Damian Schembri abbiamo preparato una copia del DVD da proiettare davanti una nutrita platea internazionale che potrà così apprezzare la bellezza dei luoghi visitati in kayak senza dover sopportare la mia discutibile pronuncia...
Ringraziamo di cuore Nigel Dennis per l'invito e per l'occasione di presentare ancora, come lo scorso anno, uno dei nostri viaggi preferiti: Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia!

We have predisposed English subtitles for our DVD as soon as we have known to be able to introduce it to the prestigious Angelsey Sea Kayak Symposium 2010.
Thanks to the help of our Maltese friend Damian Schembri, we prepared a copy of the DVD for an international meeting where nobody speak Italian... so they can maybe appreciated the places shown without having to bear my debatable English pronunciation...
We want to thank Nigel Dennis for the opportunity to introduce one more time one of our preferred sea kayak expedition: "Discovering the Ionic Islands of Greece"!

Toni Pusateri, l'organizzatore del Convegno torinese "Il Pò, l'acqua e le attività remiere" in programma per il  17 e 18 aprile 2010, ci ha invitati come relatori sul tema "Una vacanza economica: il campeggio nautico" e per l'occasione presenteremo il video nel nostro viaggio in Grecia "Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia": una sequenza di immagini musicate e commentate che aiuta a capire, scoprire ed apprezzare le tante possibilità offerte dal kayak da mare...

Malta presentation

Il nostro primo giorno a Malta è stato molto intenso e divertente.
Albert era già all'aeroporto e ci ha accompagnato in auto prima al B&B e poi alla nuova sede dell'Ufficio Piloti a Valletta: un piccolo edificio affacciato sul porto dai cui balconi si gode un'ottima visuale sull'ingresso trafficatissimo del Grand Harbour di Valletta.

Un caffè per gli ospiti, una breve presentazione del corso di eskimo, una riunione informale nella saletta ricavata nel soppalco: un vecchio tavolo da biliardo utilizzato come piano di lavoro, luci soffuse quanto basta per seguire il filmato senza addormentarsi e grande interesse per le immagini che scorrono sullo schermo.

Gli amici maltesi sono grandi appassionati di lunghe traversate in mare aperto e non si sono ancora cimentati con viaggi in kayak, benchè abbiano tutti una propria imbarcazione attrezzata per il campeggio nautico; l'arcipelago maltese offre tantissime possibilià di escursione in mare e di esplorazione lungo la frastagliata costa di Malta, Comino e Gozo: i colori dell'acqua, poi, non si allontanano molto da quelli dell'arcipelago greco delle Isole Ioniche e grande è stato perciò l'interesse dimostrato durante la presentazione del nostro viaggio.

Le domande hanno così accompagnato il video per l'intera sua durata e molte altre ci sono state fatte più tardi al pub durante la nostra prima serata maltese, trascorsa piacevolmente tra chiacchiere e risate...
Ci piacerebbe molto condividere un viaggio in kayak con i ragazzi maltesi e chissà che un giorno non si riesca ad organizzare insieme sia una lunga traversata che un bel viaggio nel Mediterraneo!

Our first day in Malta was very exciting and amusing. Albert was a perfect event coordinator: he was already at the airport, he brought us to the B&B first and then to the new Malta Maritime Pilots Office: a small building leaned out on the Valletta Grand Harbour.

A coffee for the guests, a brief presentation of the eskimo roll course, an informal meeting in the upper room: an old billiard table in the middle, low lights to follow the presentation without falling asleep and great interest for the images on the screen.

The Maltese love long crossings but they are not envolved in a kayak expedition yet; above all, the Maltese archipelago is a perfect "land" for kayak trips and excursions: the color of the sea is very intense and it is so alike of those of the Ionic Islands of Greece.A lot of questions have so accompanied the video a more have been done later to the pub during our first Maltese evening, departed pleasantly between chatters and laughters...
We would like to share a kayak expedition with the Maltese guys and maybe it should be possible, sooner or later!

Ancora una presentazione del nostro video, stavolta in quel di Valletta a Malta!
Siamo stati invitati da Albert Gambina a tenere un corso di eskimo durante la settimana di Pasqua con i ragazzi maltesi, grandi appassionati di kayak e di traversate in alto mare.
Il giorno del nostro arrivo, giovedì 1° aprile 2010, sarà introdotto brevemente il corso di eskimo nella sala convegni dell'Ufficio Piloti Marittimi del Porto di Malta.
A conclusione della serata, sarà presentato un doppio nostro filmato ed avremo così l'occasione di mettere a confronto un viaggio invernale in kayak da mare con una serie di viaggi estivi: diverse condizioni meteo marine ma uguale divertimento, avventura e vita all'aria aperta!
Il video di 20 minuti "Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia" sarà infatti seguito da quello più recente e più lungo (40 minuti) realizzato a cavallo di Natale e Capadonno sull'Isola di Minorca.

Siamo molto contenti di tornare a Malta e siamo certi che stavolta non ci riserverà brutte sorprese: tre anni fa Mauro è scivolato sul kayak e ha rotto tre costole!

Rome Review

Il nostro video “Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia” è stato inserito nella IV Edizione della Rassegna Video Fotografica di Roma e sarà presentato nel corso della serata di mercoledì 10 marzo 2010 (alle ore 20,00 presso la sede UISP in Viale Giotto n°18).
Il programma della prima serata della IV Edizione della Rassegna Video Fotografica di Roma prevede:
- Km 99 - Storie sul fiume Aniene di Andrea Giuseppini;
- Alla Scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia di Tatiana Cappucci e Mauro Ferro;
- Empire of the sun - Spedizione italiana sui fiumi del Giappone, di Gigi Rizzitelli;
- Il mare una passione, dell'Associazione Acquario Infinito;
- La canoa è donna, di Valeria Rinaldi.

Il programma della Rassenga è come al solito ricco e vario e gli organizzatori invitano tutti gli spettatori e gli appassionati a presentare le proprie fotografie, che saranno poi valutate nel corso dell'ultima serata presso la sala convegni della Città dell'Altra economia a Testaccio.
Nella serata del 10 marzo e nella prossima del 17 marzo verranno selezionati dal pubblico presente i video più apprezzati e che formeranno il programma della serata finale, quando saranno premiate le migliori opere in video e in foto.
Cogliamo l'occasione per ringraziare il Comitato Organizzatore della Rassegna Romana per avere inserito il nostro video nel programma della prima serata pur sapendo che a causa della distanza geografica non potremmo essere presenti.

With great pleasure we inform you that our video "Discovering the Ionic Islands of Greece" has been selected by the jury of the 4^ Capital video- fotographic review and it will be introduced during the evening of  Wednesday 10th of March 2010 in Rome.It hasn't been easy to condense in a presentation of 20 minutes (what has almost asked for 300 hours of workmanship) 1.300 km and 8 weeks of navigation shared with 18 companions of adventurein the 3 kayak trips in the summers 2007-2008 -2009."Lefkada kayak tour 2009", the conclusive trip of the circumnavigation of the numerous Ionic Islands, it has naturally been inserted in the video.We wish to share ours beautiful experience in meetings and reviews and we want to thank the promoters of the Capital review.

New year, new presentation!

Un nuovo invito per presentare il nostro viaggio in Grecia: in occasione della annuale festa dell'associazione Sullacqua di sabato 16 gennaio 2010 presso la bellissima Badia di Ganna (Varese). Il programma della serata prevede alle ore 18.00 la proiezione di video e filmati realizzati da appassionati di kayak da mare, alle ore 19.30 l'aperitivo e la cena a base di polenta con bruscitt e formaggi (prenotazione obbligatoria!) e alle 21.30 la presentazione del nostro video "Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche".
Speriamo di incontrarvi numerosi, perchè la festa di Sullacqua è una gran bella occasione per immergersi nel fantastico mondo del kayak, condividendo con amici vecchi e nuovi una grande passione per il mare e per la buona tavola!!!

A new invitation to introduce our kayak trip to Greece: the annual party of the association Sullacqua on Saturday January 16th 2010 in the beautiful Abbey of Ganna (Varese). The program of the evening foresees at 6 p.m. the projection of video and tapes realized by sea kayakers, at the 7.30 p.m. the dinner based on polenta with bruscitt and cheeses (obligatory booking!) and at 9.30 p.m. the presentation of our video "Discovery the Ionic Islands of Greece".
Let's hope to meet you numerous, because the night of Sullacqua is a great party to bathe in the fantastic kayak world, sharing with old and new friends a big passion for the sea and for the good table!!!

GZparty and prize!

La festa di sabato sera al negozio di Max e Nanni è stata un successo: tantissima gente, un gran cuoco, ottima musica, bei filmati e soprattutto molta allegria tra due (quasi tre) generazioni di canoisti!

Tra birra e jazz la serata è volata ed il tempo non è stato sufficiente per salutare tutti gli amici accorsi da più parti dello stivale... divertimento puro ed ennesima conferma: il popolo del kayak è un gran bel popolo!!!
Mio fratello, dopo il viaggio estivo a Lefkada, è stato fulminato: ha subito acquistato un suo kayak rosso fiammante e ha vinto una pagaia moderna alla riffa del GZparty... il suo destino è ormai segnato: diventerà un kayaker!

The Saturday evening party has been a success: a lot of people, a big cook, beautiful videos, good music and a great atmosphere beetwen two (almost three) generations of canoeists!

With beer and jazz the time has not been enough to greet all the friends... pure fun and another confirmation: the people of the kayak is a big beautiful people!!!

My brother, after the summer trip in Lefkada, has immediately purchased one flaming red kayak and he has won a modern paddle to the GZparty... its destiny is now marked: he will be a kayaker!

Second prize!!!

Il nostro video "Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia" ha vinto il secondo premio della rassegna milanese "La canoa esplora il mondo" del 14 novembre 2009!
Una soddisfazione tanto maggiore perchè si è trattato non già di una grande impresa ma di tre splendidi viaggi in compagnia di amici straordinari che hanno reso l'esperienza indimenticabile e molto divertente, sia durante la navigazione che durante il lavoro di montaggio!
Una ragione in più per partecipare alle serate di presentazione che già si rincorrono numerose!

Our video "Discovering the Ionic Islands of Greece" has won the second prize of the 22^ Italian review "The canoe explore the world" of November 14th 2009!
A double satisfaction: it was not a great expedition but a wonderful three years kayak trip, with a lot of good friends that have made an extremely funny experience, both during the journey and the editing!

Il nostro video a Milano!!!

Con grande piacere vi informiamo che il nostro video “Alla scoperta delle Isole Ioniche della Grecia” è stato selezionato dalla giuria della 22^ rassegna milanese “La canoa esplora il mondo” e sarà presentato nel corso della serata di sabato 14 novembre 2009 (alle ore 20,30 presso la sala del Centro San Fedele in Via Hoepli 3/5 a Milano).
Non è stato facile condensare in una presentazione di 20 minuti (che ha richiesto quasi 300 ore di lavorazione) 1.300 km e 8 settimane di navigazione condivisa con 18 compagni di avventura nei 3 viaggi in kayak delle estati 2007-2008-2009.
“Lefkada kayak tour 2009”, il viaggio conclusivo della circumnavigazione delle numerose Isole Ioniche, è stato naturalmente inserito nel video.

With great pleasure we inform you that our video "Discovering the Ionic Islands of Greece" has been selected by the jury of the 22^ Italian review "The canoe explores the world" and it will be introduced during the evening of Saturday 14th of November 2009 in Milan.
It hasn't been easy to condense in a presentation of 20 minutes (what has almost asked for 300 hours of workmanship) 1.300 km and 8 weeks of navigation shared with 18 companions of adventurein the 3 kayak trips in the summers 2007-2008 -2009.
"Lefkada kayak tour 2009", the conclusive trip of the circumnavigation of the numerous Ionic Islands, it has naturally been inserted in the video.

Che emozione!!!
Inviato il breve resoconto del viaggio all'ufficio stampa della federazione che insieme a FICT e Sottocosta ha patrocinato "Lefkada Kayak Tour 2009", non pensavamo certo di vederlo interamente pubblicato in così breve lasso di tempo...
E qualcuno ci ha già scritto per complimentarsi: è forse una delle prime volte che compare un articolo interamente dedicato al kayak da mare turistico sul sito dedicato all'agonismo!
Fa un certo effetto vedere i nostri kayak colorati tra i Campioni del Mondo di Slalom e di Maratona... forse qualche agonista, alla fine della carriera, salirà finalmente su un kayak da mare!

Wow! Our kayak trip on the home page of the national federation!
Sent the brief account of the trip to the press office of the federation that has patronized the trip together with FICT and Sottocosta, we didn't think to see it entirely published in so brief weary of time... and someone has already written us to congratulate: is maybe one of the first times that an article about tourist sea kayak appears on a web site entirely devoted to the competition!
It is unusual to see our colored kayaks among World Championships of Slalom and Marathons... perhaps some competitors, at the end of his career, will finally paddle on a sea kayak!

Le uscite domenicali sono ricche di grandi scoperte e piccole avventure anche dopo tanti anni... la sorpresa aumenta quando al rientro da un lungo viaggio si scoprono cose lasciate lontane... e si capisce di non essere soli: anche sul nostro lago c'è chi si diletta di rock balancing!
The Sunday excursions are rich of great discoveries and small adventures also after so many years... the surprise increases when we reentry from a long trip and we discover some strange things... and we understand not to be alone: also on our lake there is who pleases of rock balancing!
