FICK!

Il nostro viaggio in Grecia ha ottenuto il patrocinio della federazione nazionale!
Già lo scorso anno la FICK aveva creduto nel nostro viaggio in Scozia per la promozione dell'attività sportiva e turistica del kayak da mare e siamo contenti che anche quest'anno abbia scelto di sostenere un nuovo viaggio condotto da due Maestri federali di Canoa da mare...
Ci rallegriamo soprattutto per l'augurio che ha accompagnato il sostegno:
"Le vostre iniziative sono sempre in armonia con le migliori tradizioni sportive e tese a trasmettere un messaggio positivo, di amicizia e collaborazione, che richiama e valorizza la cultura dalla quale origina la nostra bellissima disciplina".

Our trip received the support of national federation!
Last year they support us during Scotland trip and we are very happy to receive the same support for our new kayak trip, leading by two FICK seakayak coaches...

AAARGH!!!

Sabato notte ci hanno derubato, fracassando il lunotto posteriore dell'auto!
E' sparito il navigatore satellitare, ovviamente, ma anche dell'altro, di cui ci siamo resi conto solo al rientro a casa, quando abbiamo finalmente scaricato tutto: la cucina da campo, la fuel bottle, due thermos, la macchinetta per il caffè e per il cappuccino, il beauty-case da viaggio, due sacche stagne piene di magliette tecniche (tutto il nostro guardaroba kayakkero!) e soprattutto la maglia gialla di Mauro della vecchia AIKDM... AAARGH!!!
La cosa incredibile è che, mentre il GPS potremo ricomperarlo uguale a quello rubato, tutte le altre cose sarà molto difficile ritrovarle uguali, specie quelle adattate dopo anni di esperienza... cosa ci faranno mai con il mio spazzolino da denti?!?
Dovremmo rimettere insieme i pezzi in fretta, prima della partenza per Lefkada...

Saturday night we have been stolen: someone has broken the car window and the GPS has disappeared! We have also understood that other things had disappeared: kitchen camp, fuel bottle, two thermos flasks, coffepot, beauty-case, two waterproof gear bags full of lycras clothing (our kayak wardrobe!), as well a yellow t-shirt that Mauro usually used... AAARGH!!!
It's incredible, we can buy a new GPS but we can't find that same things, expecially that ones we realize after years of experience... what will they do with my tooth brush?!?

Crossing the sea!

Un eccezionale colpo di fortuna!
Ci siamo uniti alla canoa polinesiana capitanata da Gianni Montagner ed abbiamo effettuato la traversata Stromboli - Tropea di venerdì scorso 3 luglio 2009: 58 km di mare aperto in 10 ore di navigazione con i 3 kayak da mare di Mauro, Mimmo e Tatiana.
Un'esperienza emozionante e gratificante! Specie per l'assistenza in acqua di cuochi-velisti che ci hanno preparato un lauto pranzo e per l'accoglienza a terra di tutti i corsisti del Kayakamp Costa degli Dei che ci hanno riservato foto, abbracci e soprese a non finire!!!
Adesso possiamo affrontare sereni le prossime traversate tra Lefkada e le altre Isole Ioniche...
Ripeteremo certamente l'esperienza il prossimo anno, tenetevi in allenamento!

An unexpected opportunity!
Last friday 3rd of July, we made a "joint venture" with Gianni Montagner and gis OC6 to realize the crossing from Stromboli Island to Tropea: 58 km in 10 hours with 3 seakayak.
A great emotion and a big satisfaction! Expecially for the lunch time on the sailboat and for the evening party with all the kayakers and friends enrolled in the Kayakamp!
Now, we can realize next crossing between Lefkada and the others Ionian Islands with extreme confidence...
We'll surely repeat the experience, let's go to training for next year!
